In terms of ethical compliance, Myanmar I-Tex Garment Co., Ltd. is a facility certified in 2019 by WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production), and it also became in the same year an approved participant of BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) audit. And achieving customer’s requirement and expectation in terms of social compliance, the facility also had SMETA 2-pillars audit conducted in 2021. The facility commits to paying close attention to details in regards to its social compliance, safety and health, environmental protection, transshipment rules and regulations, and overall operating precision and efficiency. In relation to certifications to its ethical as well as production standards, the facility, upon completion of audits successfully, has been certified by STeP by OEKO-TEX and by Global Recycled Standard (GRS). Along with compliance with product quality standards and international labor rights norms, the facility aims to achieve its goals by meeting the new challenges and demands of the market and thus achieving customers’ satisfaction.
Having implemented the requirements and installed all the required and necessary fire safety equipment including sprinkler system, the facility has obtained the fire safety certificate from the local authority. The Environmental Management Plan (EMP) developed in cooperation with a third environmental party, and submitted to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation, Naypyidaw, has now been approved. The facility, as a fundamental obligation, abides by the requirements of the local laws and international standards in regards to ethical, environmental and production compliance.
